Aikakone – Collaborative multiplayer game, HyeSoo Park
[ Maker Booth ]

Aikakone’ is collaborative multiplayer puzzle game. It is a simple, easy and fun game. It was designed for connecting people and enhancing the social interaction between peers in a playful and interactive environment. The game was inspired by successful collaborative platform such as Kahoot and Flinga.

The name of game, ‘Aikakone’ comes from the idea that players have a glimpse of Finland, while playing a game. The puzzle images were fetched from Finna API. Finna provides a materials available on the web from Finnish libraries, museums and archives for free. The puzzle image sources tell players about the Finland of the past.
Personally, it has been an exciting time to make a playable puzzle game for the first time. So it is a amateur game, but hope it can connect people in a fun and enjoyable way in this event. Feedback about the game will be very helpful to make a better Aikakone game. Kiitos paljon 😀

School classes, clubs, libraries, museums or civil servant may be joining – or anyone who finds an interest. Now is the right time to join planning the Junior Hackathon of 2019.

Modular composition environment, Joaquin Aldunate
[ Maker Booth ]

With this tool it is possible to improvise a complete electronic music party without having any musical material prepared beforehand. It works in the basis of modules, which can be connected together, to produce music systems. These music systems can be used to generate compositions, to alter existing compositions, or just as a traditional sequencers. This tool has been in the development for the last two years, and it is expected to deliver it as a product for other musicians to use on their own performances.

From Taipei with geek-love, Tuomo Tammenpää
[ Stage ]

Taipei is a wonderworld for electronic prototyping. Tokio’s Akihabara or Shenzhen’s Huagiangbei might be more familiar go-to-hubs for electronic geek in Asia, but Taipei’s Guanghua might just be the best combination of the former. Misty mountain tea farms, workshopping and stinky tofu. I’ll share the semi-practical Inkscape-Shenzhen-Kemiö – “hand-drawn” PCB design production pipeline I have learned. The outcomes are present on the booth and the iron might be hot if someone is interested in the ease of SMD soldering, flashing ATtiny85 with audiobootloader and weird noise making with it.

Kimito Pagan hackbar, contact person Tuomo Tammenpää
[ Maker Booth ]

Kimito-islands wärk-pagans demonstrate their recent contraptions. We’ll bring “hand-drawn” PCB designs for RGB-LED-, microservo- and MIDI controllers, VR in a bucket, RFID-play prototypes and one openFrameworks on RaspberryPi jukebox-problem child which most likely does not work. Fix it, win prices.
